Serving Beer, Burgers & Booze Since 1946

Brightwood Tavern – where travelers stop and locals gather for great food, good company, and fun rustic vibe.

Local favorite bar and restaurant near Mt. Hood

Tucked away in Brightwood, Oregon, we’ve been serving up hearty comfort food and cold beer since 1946. Known for our burgers, homemade soups, and the kind of service that makes you feel like family, the tavern is where locals gather and travelers find a welcome break. With rustic décor, a laid-back vibe, and an easy spot right off the highway, it’s the perfect place for a casual meal, a game of cards, or just swapping stories over a pint. Around here, good food and good company never go out of style.

Third-generation owner and manager of Brightwood Tavern. This place has seen it all since 1946: tall tales, empty pint glasses, and probably a few questionable karaoke attempts. We’re here to keep the tradition alive with hearty food, cold drinks, and that “everyone knows your name” kind of vibe. Stop in, grab a seat, and don’t be surprised if you leave with a new story to tell
