Tucked away in Brightwood, Oregon, we’ve been serving up hearty comfort food and cold beer since 1946. Known for our burgers, homemade soups, and the kind of service that makes you feel like family, the tavern is where locals gather and travelers find a welcome break. With rustic décor, a laid-back vibe, and an easy spot right off the highway, it’s the perfect place for a casual meal, a game of cards, or just swapping stories over a pint. Around here, good food and good company never go out of style.

    My friend and I randomly stopped by Brightwood Tavern for lunch and surprisingly had one of the best meals of our whole roadtrip here! Would give 6 stars if I could.

    We came on Sunday around noon and there was only one person sitting at the bar when we arrived. After a while though, lots more folks stopped by for food and it got more crowded than I expected for a place not on the main road.

    They have some indoor seating, but my friend and I opted to sit outside on their beautiful backyard patio as it was such a nice day out.

    I got the chili dog for $8, and my friend got the breakfast burrito for $15. They were able to make it vegetarian by removing the bacon and country sausage gravy.

    We were both incredibly happy with our meal. They piled so much chili on the hot dog that you can't eat it without a fork, but that's exactly how I like it! I love chili dogs but haven't had any in a while, so this really hit the spot for me.

    My friend LOVED his breakfast burrito as well. It had everything he likes in it - eggs, tater tots, grilled onions, pickled jalapenos - and is served with a side of salsa and sour cream.

    We were extremely satisfied with this meal. So glad we decided to stop by here and give the food a shot!

    Brightwood Tavern has always been the mountain’s living room. Third generation just took over ownership and I’m thrilled that they now offer excellent home cooked food with daily specials and soups. It is a 21 and over bar.

    It is also an excellent gathering spot for motorcycle runs and mountain bike events. Give the owners a call and make arrangements. The service was outstanding with fresh hot food being served quickly.

    It was impressive how many people they served and the food quality.

    Great vibes! Nice outdoor and indoor seating, various food options and really good food. The service is mostly selfserv, but the guy was nice and served us food in the outdoor patio seating!

    A hidden gem :-) We were here two weeks ago. This was our second time renting the same cabin down the road from here and we can’t say enough good things! First experience was great and so was this time. They were so welcoming and down to earth. Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Please order the club sandwich! I would drive back just for this!     Awesome local spot, totally worth the short trip off the hwy 26 -just do it. The bartender is so personable and the onion rings are light, fluffy, and nongreasy. Good beer selection, pool table.

    Went out for Easter Brunch with my Fiancé's family. There was an adult Easter Egg Hunt (how cool by the way) Food and Service was nothing but Amazing! I have been in the industry for almost 20 years! I was happy with our experience, will bring the fam again. Thank you all for making it so special! The ambiance is very inviting as well!
